Are you interested in engaging your life's stories with fresh eyes and curiosity? Do you wish for connection with others from the Genesis community outside of Sunday mornings? This 5 week Narrative Circle is designed for participants to engage in story-sharing through a particular process (telling-response-retelling-pause). The hope with this process is that each of us can re-connect to our most life-giving stories, through conversation in a small group setting . Each week we’ll utilize narrative prompts to help us guide/share our stories and respond to one another with curious questions and grace. All participants are asked to hold these gatherings as safe and confidential spaces in our sharing with one another. Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8pm on January 15, 22, 29 and Feb 5, 12 in the living room at church. Space is limited so sign up today by emailing karav@genesischurchmn.org or text at 651-587-0969! You'll receive a small packet of supplies for our gatherings by Jan 20 (including narrative prompts and activities to help guide your reflection/our time together).

From chapter 1: How God entered the world matters. Where and when God chose to come into the world carries significance. Advent is not about one season of devotion; rather, the advent narratives orient us toward a lifetime of faithfulness to the God of liberation, love, and peace. The stories told around and about the birth of Jesus set our sights on a deep theology for troubled times, then and now. Advent pays attention to the people, places, and politics of generations awaiting God’s arrival.

Where the Story of God is a multi-faceted gem that each of us can hold, turn, and discover. Welcome to a space where you can have more questions than answers—a space that offers healing and wholeness and sacred transformation."
