Join us for the beginning of the season of Creationtide Sunday, September 6th at 10:45am for outdoor worship. Instead of gathering in the Sanctuary, we'll spend time in nature and community, meeting at 10:45am at the Westwood Hills Nature Center St. Louis Park. We'll spend time in prayer and song, contemplative time in nature and concluding with an outdoor Eucharist. Feel free to bring a lunch to hang around afterwards and enjoy the playground, the water garden and observation deck or wherever your hiking shoes take you.

The Powell's are hosting a Sunday Brunch on August 30 at 11am at their home in Edina. They will provide the main dish and some beverages. They'll be providing an egg bake - please bring a fruit, salad, bread or other side. It'll be a lovely time of conversation, food and general merriment! At Genesis, we practice a rhythm of taking the 5th Sunday as a day to explore Sabbath or Service instead of gathering for a typical worship service. August 30th is our next 5th Sunday and we are inviting the congregation to experience Sabbath in your own homes or the outdoors. Rest well friends!

We'll meet onsite at 6pm for a blessing and receive instructions for our self-guided contemplative activity throughout the arboretum. June is PRIDE month! Join us on Sunday, June 14th for our 10:45am worship to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ siblings in our church, in our communities, and in our world. As a fully inclusive and affirming congregation, we are intentional about our welcome each and every week, though on this particular Sunday we'll celebrate Queerness in all its beauty with additional fanfare + general awesomeness (rainbow treats; resources; new stickers + flags to take home)! Does your Queer Christian friend, family member, or co–worker need a safe place to celebrate their belovedness during this month? An invitation to this gathering is a great opportunity to extend the table of God’s expansive love and say “Pull up a chair, dear one. You will always belong.”

On 5th Sundays, as a congregation we explore either Sabbath or Service instead of gathering for a typical worship service. Our next 5th Sunday is May 31 and we are inviting the congregation to practice acts of service in your own home or wider community. Folks interested in cleaning up around Crystal Lake are invited to join us across from Sanborn Park at 10am (note time!). Or if you'd like to do something on your own, consider picking up trash in your neighborhood or community park, send letters to legislators, help a neighbor with yard work, donate food to your local foodshelf, write positive chalk messages on your sidewalk, plant and take care of something in nature, etc.
