Genesis Kids & Teens

We value children at Genesis and see them as an integral part of our community.  Our desire in our children’s ministry is that children are truly seen as individuals created by God.  Because of this, our gathering time on Sundays is relational-focused.  Our curriculum is our people interacting with and telling the story of God and His continual movement toward us. We welcome children in our service if that is what you as a family would prefer. See our offerings for the different age groups below. All ages are invited to participate in taking the Eucharist each week in worship and each family may decide if they would like their child to partake in the elements (bread & juice) or receive a blessing.

Outside of Sunday mornings, we offer additional family gatherings for fun, socialization, and connection. Check out the events page to see what’s ahead.

GENESIS LITTLES

Infants, toddlers and preschoolers (o-5years) meet in the Genesis Littles classroom, full of fun, engaging and age-appropriate toys. Our early childhood classes follow a rotation of free play, story, and then group play. Parents and caregivers are asked to pick their children up in the classroom at the start of Eucharist.

GENESIS KIDS

We have elementary classes for K-5th Grade in our Genesis Kids classroom. Our elementary kids interact with each other through games and conversation, then hear an oral telling of a story from Scripture, have a time of response and sharing, and will rejoin parents and caregivers in worship for the Eucharist.

GENESIS TEENS

Sixth through twelfth graders are considered "teens" at Genesis and are an important part of our church. They meet in the teen room with awesome volunteers during worship for community building, conversation and fun. They rejoin parents and caregivers in worship for Eucharist. Outside of Sundays, teens are invited to monthly gatherings and other fun events designed to build community!
